True Colors – The World of Synesthesia
Synaesthesia is a neurological phenomenon where the stimulation of one sense triggers another. For example, synaesthetes can see music and hear colours. The ability to see sounds is known as coloured hearing. This virtual reality app allows to directly experience this form of synaesthesia, simulating the unique im- pressions of four synaesthetes. It shows bright ellipses in an organ concert and colourful musical compositions. The aim is to increase the awareness for this special form of perception especially among people dealing with children affected by synaesthesia.
