Sport Chrono Subsecond Titanium & Black
A sporting journey through time
Two pioneering achievements by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the designer of the legendary Porsche 911, have shaped the design of Porsche Design timepieces. In 1972, he designed the Chronograph I, the first all black chronograph, featuring a design that was inspired by the black, reflection-free instrument dashboard of the Porsche 911 and the Porsche race cars. In 1980, he presented the first chronograph made of titanium. This light metal possesses high strength and corrosion resistance and had also been used back in 1968 for the crankshaft of the Porsche 917. The Porsche Design Sport Chrono Subsecond continues this tradition. It is available for the Porsche Panamera and Taycan. Around 50 years after F. A. Porsche created the Chronograph I, inspired by the dashboard instruments of the Porsche 911, the watch is returning to its origins – the Porsche car cockpit. The Sport Chrono Subsecond Titanium & Black model impresses with a high-contrast dial and optimal readability. On the wrist, the polished titanium case projects high-quality workmanship and a sense of pleasant lightness. Thanks to its ergonomic design and well-balanced shape, this COSC-certified precision chronometer rests very comfortably on the wrist and offers a high level of wearing comfort even over a long period of time. Powered by the Porsche Design calibre WERK 03.200, the black dial puts the display of the small second at six o’clock. The Sport Chrono Subsecond Titanium & Black reflects Porsche Design’s hallmark combination of form and function, design and technology, watchmaking and manufacturing expertise in exemplary fashion.
