The new Siri Remote has been specially designed to navigate the extensive offerings of Apple TV. Its one-piece housing made of recycled aluminium fits comfortably in the hand. The unusually slim and well-balanced remote control impresses with its precise and high-quality workmanship as well as the high-contrast design of the controls. On the front are clearly arranged buttons for switching on and muting, which in combination with the volume control ensure user-friendly operation and further enhanced TV viewing pleasure. Particularly well thought-out is the innovative click pad, which combines precise five-way navigation controls. The outer ring supports an intuitive circular gesture for fast forward or rewind, while the touch-enabled surface makes it easy to quickly swipe through playlists or click on individual titles. Supported by Siri, Apple’s voice recognition software and intelligent assistant, users can easily find what they want to watch using just their voice. The remote control features a microphone for Siri, an infrared transmitter and a Lightning connector for recharging the built-in lithium-ion battery. As with the iPhone, Siri can also be controlled via a button on the side. At the touch of a button, the intelligent assistant is instantly available.
