Meta-communication is the key to ensuring survival and engaging in meaningful social action in the modern world: this is the idea behind the US app, an ecosystem for building trust through the dissemination of authentic information. The app aims to create a positive society and reduce misinformation by utilising the power of humanity-centerer, meta-human-computer interaction. When ‘I’ becomes ‘we’, a single stream of communication becomes a chorus working through the complexities of interconnected deep-rooted problems. The solution is divided into three parts in the US app: speak, listen, and respond. ‘Speaking’ involves sharing query within a 5km radius with location is enabled. ‘Listening’ involves users within the radius, who get access to the query based on their choice of categories. ‘Reply’ involves a voice note response to the query initiated by the original poster. The process is completed by rating the voice notes received. By eliminating unnecessary steps and organising information to reduce cognitive overload, the system prioritises clear communication for users on both ends.
