Based on the authors’ own research, these four books tackle the mentality and behaviour of today’s college students, who are presented as lacking discipline and maturity. 52 major symptoms were selected to describe certain types of students: from the cute and naive freshmen to the sophomores who only want to fool around to the zombie-like seniors. The illustrations demonstrate a suitably ironic and dark humour combined with a colour palette that shifts gradually from bright and vibrant to dull and faded as the students age.
