Gearbox by Gamesa
As an industrial unit within Siemens Gamesa, Gearbox produces gear solutions for wind turbines. The aim was to re-imagine the brand concept in a way that was true to its industrial heritage, while renewing the company’s positioning as a manufacturer of clean energy. The challenge was to translate the positioning into a visual identity and to build a wider set of elements – a design system that was overall simpler to work with. Taking the world of gears and their function within drives as a reference point, a simple yet powerful design concept was developed. The choice of contrasting colours increases the brand identity’s recognition value.
