Dancing with Kinmen
Kinmen Gong Candy was once used as a tribute to the Emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty. Since the Emperor’s totem used to be dragon shaped, the design of the packaging for this peanut candy is based on dragon pillars just like those which can be seen in Taiwanese temples. The spiral shape folded paper boxes can be extended and hung up. They create the impression of a dragon flying in the sky. Inside the box, there is a bag containing individually packed sweets. The packaging also features illustrations which provide an insight into how the candies are made.
