B1 – Land Subsidence of Taiwan
The main reason for the growing problem of land subsidence in Taiwan is that excessive amounts of groundwater are being drawn from the ground. This leads to further problems such as soil liquefaction and seawater intrusion. The book provides an introduction to the complex problem of land subsidence and describes the four main reasons that have caused this problem as well as the primary issues arising from it. Using a white font against a black background and just one other colour, red, the book presents countless data in easy-to-understand diagrams and information relating to land subsidence, thus raising public awareness of this issue.
