David Andersen

David Andersen, born in 1978, graduated from Glasgow School of Art and the Fashion Design Academy in 2003. Until 2014, he developed designs for ready-to-wear clothes, shoes, perfume, underwear and home wear and emerged as a fashion designer working as chief designer at Dreams by Isabell Kristensen as well as designing couture for the royal Danish family, celebrities, artists etc. under his own name. In 2007, he debuted his collection “David Andersen”.

He has received many awards and grants for his designs, e.g. a grant from the National Art Foundation. David Andersen is also known for his development of sustainable clothing with his collection, Zero Waste, and has received several awards for his work on ecology and sustainable productions. Until 2019, he worked as Vice President for Design at Rosendahl Design Group, a multi-brand house with seven brands including: Rosendahl, Holmegaard, Kay Bojesen Denmark, Bjørn Wiinblad Denmark, Lyngby Porcelain, Arne Jacobsen Clocks, and Juna. Today, David Andersen is working as Design Director at KC FUR in China. Furthermore, he is a guest lecturer at different schools and colleges.
