Kim’s

“Kim’s” is a short film about an immigrant father and his son who finally get to understand each other better, after they learn how to stand up and fight against stereotypes. The purpose of this film was to portray the isolation of an individual through the eyes of a minority in the United States of America during an unexpected state of emergency. The use of 50 mm prime lenses to establish the shallow depth of field in key scenes, like the conference scene, visually highlights the desolation and discomfort the main character is experiencing.
