Corporate Sound Concept
The Sound of DR
As part of a rebranding, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, known as DR, set out to create a holistic, unifying sound identity to extend across all of its brands, platforms and channels. The creative concept took inspiration from the legacy of “Danmarks Radio” and the role it has played in Danish music history. A short, two-note melodic motif with a distinct harmony was chosen to best match the two-letter brand name and reflect the instrumental flavour that is characteristic of Danish musical compositions. Brief yet memorable, the audio identity met the demands for best case integration in both visual and audible media productions.
