Brachii Carbon Cranks

Zurück Download

The design concept of Brachii Cranks is based on the human arm skeleton. Its bionic design combines the concept of human bones with two processes that WindNer is proud of: “dry carbon fibre winding” and “thermoplastic carbon fibre” (CFRTP), which gives Brachii a strong structure. “Dry carbon fibre winding” produces continuous carbon fibre in an automated manner, reducing the need for manpower in carbon fibre manufacturing. Computer programming can be used to change the appearance and texture of the Brachii branches. “Thermoplastic carbon fibre (CFRTP)” follows the environmental trend, where carbon fibre recycling is currently the most difficult problem. WindNer conducts its own research on thermoplastic carbon fibre applications. To achieve the goal of zero waste in the process, thermoplastic carbon fibre is used at the Brachii connection and on the 4-hole Spider; the leftovers are crushed to give the appearance of forged carbon. If the product is eliminated, it can be crushed to make a sub-strength product. Following the current e-bike trend, only a few details need to be changed in the manufacturing process — that is, the tooth structure of the mid-mounted motor can be matched so that different models can also have “Brachii”.
